TOILETS

Toilet room configurations primarily depend on ADA accessibility clearances, including door swing and circulation space.  Size and proportion could vary depending on location and occupancy needs.  A minimum dimension is provided to visualize a functional proportion.

For better supervision, consider locating sinks outside of Multi-Stall Toilet room, making them shared for both girls and boys.  Avoid sightlines into Multi-Stall Toilet rooms.

Consult with school and/or Facilities Maintenance Branch for paper products and toilet accessories since they are not standardized statewide.  

HIDOE does not use combination paper towel dispenser/waste receptacle in Multi-Stall Toilet rooms.  Provide location for large trash bin.
