MIDDLE SCHOOL
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Kukui: Historically, the oil-rich kukui nut was used to provide the light for the lama (torch), symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and clarity. In these spaces, the kukui represents the administration’s commitment to guiding the school community and ensuring that the light of education and enlightenment remains steadfast.
The School Administration Center plays a pivotal role in shaping the school’s ethos. The facility should create a safe and welcoming environment, embracing the full school community of students, staff, parents and other visitors.
The Administration provides leadership, sets the academic and ethical tone of the school, and ensures that policies are implemented effectively. The office conducts school management in an efficient manner, oversees daily operations, manages resources, and ensures the smooth functioning of the school. Moreover, it builds a strong community by promoting open communication, encouraging parental involvement, and organizing events that bring people together.
The Administrative Center should be located at the front of the campus, easy for visitors to find, and providing excellent visual supervision of the front parking and drop off area and approach pathway to the front entry. There should also be a close connection to the Student Support spaces and the rest of the school.
STAFFING may include:
